Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Mulki recently laid the foundation stone of two garment factories in Jerash and Ajloun governorates. The factory of Advanced Technology Company for Garments in Ajloun’s Arjan city, 70 km northwest of Amman, will create 250 jobs. In Jerash’s Souf town, the Elephant Tusk factory, an Indian investment, will create around 500 jobs.
The factories are part of the government’s development and job-creation strategy, according to a Jordanian news agency.
The National Programme for Empowerment and Employment aims at generating jobs for Jordanians across the country. The government plans to establish more than 52 production facilities.
