Chennai (India)-based fashion retailer Indian Terrain Fashion Ltd. is working extensively to expand its reach in the country, especially in the northern and eastern region, as it aims to be a Rs. 1,000 crores firm by the financial year 2021.
The retailer is also targeting to make its kidswear brand India Terrain Boys a Rs. 200 crores label in the next three years. India Terrain Boys was launched by the company two years back.
Further, to increase its revenue from operations, Indian Terrain – which has been retailing in the menswear segment from past 17 years – recently announced its venture into the womenswear category.
According to Indian Terrain Chairman & MD Venky Rajagopal, the company is on its way to achieving its target by FY 2020-21.
Launched in 2000, Indian Terrain demerged from Celebrity Fashions Limited, its parent company, in the year 2010. Indian Terrain today retails across the country through 1200+ Multi Brand Outlets (MBOs), 250+ doors of Large Format Stores (such as Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, and Central), 100+ Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs) and key e-commerce platforms as well. The apparel brand also has an e-commerce site www.indianterrain.com. It currently has 142 exclusive stores.
The company is growing at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of over 20 per cent and is expecting to note a revenue of Rs. 700 crores in the current fiscal year.
