India’s leading men’s apparel retailer, Raymond has announced to double up the number of stores of its exclusive brand Park Avenue in the upcoming years, including Park Avenue’s first international store in Sharjah, by November this year. To sum it up, Park Avenue will open 100 new stores by 2020.
Park Avenue is currently available via 30 Raymond stores in West Asia, Nepal and Sri Lanka, and it is planning to open 10 exclusive outlets in the overseas market to enhance the revenue contribution of its top line from international markets, over the next two years. The company is also looking into south and east African markets for expansion.
Sharad Walia, Brand Director, Park Avenue said that as the interest of the consumer is changing, the structure of the brand’s retail stores and products were also evolving. “They are becoming more fluid in nature, eliminating the boundaries between casual wear and formal wear. Which provides the customers the luxury to mix and match according to their choice,” he added.
The apparel retailer will further launch two products next month; Express Wardrobe and Work Denims. Express Wardrobe will be a collection of two trousers, two jackets and three shirts made from uncrushable fabric, while the ‘Work Denims’ will be the refined versions of denim trousers for formal wearers.
Additionally, along with apparel, footwear and accessories sector, the clothing brand will also be entering the customisation space this year. It will introduce a software called DIY (do it yourself) that would allow its customers to customise outfits according to their preference. The software is at present is on testing stage and it will be offered to the public in 35 selective stores by the end of this year.
