Alcis Sports opens its first store in Mumbai, second in India


Mumbaikars! brace yourself up to buy the latest active wear collections in the town as Noida (India)-based sportswear brand Alcis Sports has opened its first outlet in the city (Mumbai) and the second in India after Kochi (Kerala). The apparel company will soon open more exclusive stores across the country.

The flagship store, spread over an area of more than 1,000 square feet, is located at Phoenix Marketcity in Kurla. The latest store in the city has specific clothing for running, training, yoga, football and racquet sports. “We feel Mumbai is the natural fit for a brand like Alcis Sports,” said Roshan Baid, Managing Director, Alcis Sports at the launch, adding, “We have noted a tremendous response for our products which motivated us to take up our brand to the next level.

The company, which recently secured an investment from Singapore-based Venture Capital firm RB Investments, is also the exclusive licensee for the official fan wear merchandise of 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, and the new store will also feature the upcoming range for the football fans.

At present, Alcis Sports retails through at 150 shop-in-shops and is available online at Jabong, Myntra, Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. Its exclusive brand outlet (EBO) in Kochi was inaugurated in December last year. The company aims to increase the store count further.
