Blackberrys Rs 1K cr revenue action plan: Enters womenswear segment, aims 100 new stores

India-based leading menswear brand Blackberrys is looking forward to expand its offerings by foraying into the womenswear segment in the near future. The brand also aims to introduce 100 new stores across India.

Notably, Blackberrys is expecting its sales to boost by 60 per cent and riding on this, it aims to generate a revenue worth Rs. 1000 crores during the current fiscal.

Nitin Mohan, Founder and Director, Blackberrys Menswear affirmed the media that the apparel label has been growing at a compounded yearly growth rate of around 25 per cent per annum and expect to keep this growth momentum as it expands its footprint with a combination of exclusive outlets and store-in-store formats. “Last fiscal, we closed with a turnover of Rs 900 crore and we expect to cross Rs 1,000 crore this financial year,” Nitin said.

It is important to add here that out of the said 100 stores the company wants to launch this fiscal, 60 are already operational across the country.

Blackberrys’ director further added that it was the constantly increasing demand for womenswear in the casual segment for the brand that propelled them to foray into this new category.

Additionally, Blackberrys owns two brands; Urban and Casual operating 250 brand outlets, the majority (185) of which are company operated while the remaining are franchise-operated.
