Asia, particularly China, has played a big role in bolstering the sales growth of Italian fashion giant Moncler.
Moncler generated a global sales revenue of US $ 999.5 million for the first nine months of 2018 – an increase of 23 per cent in global sales, measured in constant currency.
Asia and the remaining world – excluding USA and China – upped the sales of Moncler by a whopping 39 per cent.
Chinese customers have been thronging the newly opened Moncler stores in Hong Kong and also on the mainland.
Corroborating on the same, Luciano Santel, COO, Moncler, said that the demand from Chinese shoppers especially in the third quarter has been very strong. Santel said this during a conference call.
“The Chinese Golden Week in early October was more productive than what it was in 2017,” averred Remo Ruffini, CEO, Moncler. He also expressed confidence that the fourth quarter too would be good as they were getting positive signals from all their markets.
