Gerber Technology, a leading technology solution provider for the fashion industry, has announced its partnership with Avametric, the world’s leading 3D cloth simulation technology provider. The announcement was made in the Gerber’s 20th annual ideation tech conference, being held in Florida, USA.
With this collaboration, Gerber has acquired a leading position in 3D technology for fashion and apparel industry. The Avametric’s best fabric simulation engine will help the company to connect consumer-facing virtual try-on software with company’s AccuMark and YuniquePLM® platforms to deliver an end-to-end work-flow. Also, Gerber will now be able to provide its consumers with personalised product on demand, thus helping them with increased speed and productivity in the creative and development process.

According to a recent survey conducted by Gerber with their global customer base, the interest in 3D is growing with over 60 per cent of fashion and apparel companies planning to adopt 3D technology within the next three years. The interest is the result of the shift in the need for speed, efficiency, and a personalized consumer experience.
