Designer Heron Preston’s eponymous label has opened its very first flagship store in Hong Kong.
The flagship marks the designer’s premiere solo store, and is located within the high-fashion shopping complex Fashion Walk, in the bustling neighborhood of Causeway Bay, one of Hong Kong’s busiest retail areas.
“Opening my very first store tomorrow! In Hong Kong!” the designer wrote in an Instagram post. “The first store worldwide.[…] I can’t believe I started hand printing t-shirts in San Francisco and now I’m here. I want to thank my amazing team for the love and support!”
Fashion Walk, which is divided between five streets, is also home to Adidas, Nike, A.P.C., Maje, Sandro, Zadig & Voltaire, Comme des Garçons, Fjällräven and Off-White stores, among others.
The flagship is holding its grand opening on November 29, the same day that Preston’s Tailwind sunglasses collaboration with Nike is set to drop. The designer’s previous collaborations include partnerships with the New York Department of Sanitation, Ugg and NASA.
The opening comes as Hong Kong anticipates its 50th Fall/Winter Fashion Week in January. According to The Manila Times, the autonomous territory’s last Fashion Week was attended by 14,000 buyers from 76 countries around the world.
