American clothing and accessories retailer Old Navy has been listed among the top Best workplace 2018, in Retail, by Great Place to Work and Fortune. The company has taken 14th spot on the list.
The ranking is based on a survey involving over 631,000 employees from Great place to Work certified companies in the retail industry. Over 60 factors were evaluated to know how their employees find their organisation as a place to work.
The evaluation is majorly based on employee’s experience of workplace trust and reaching their full potential at the organisation. The balance of each company’s score takes into account employees’ involvement in company innovation, the organisation’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders.
“At Old Navy, we strive to create an environment uniquely anchored in fun, where everyone feels like family. We believe that a great culture drives a great business, and our team is a key differentiator that enables Old Navy to compete and win.” said Sonia Syngal, President and CEO, Old Navy.
Old Navy has been ranked for its focus on fostering a purpose-led culture by creating powerful moments that bring fun and creativity into work every day. The brand is continuously investing for its employees to provide them a better friendly work environment. The internal programmes like the Creative Academy – a training programme to inspire and cultivate creative talent – and the introduction of employee groups have helped them shape brand-wide engagement initiatives.
Moreover, the company in 2017 was ranked as a Best Workplace for Diversity and Giving back by Great Place to Work and Fortune. This year, the brand is on track to open more than 60 Old Navy stores across the US, Canada and Mexico by year’s end.
