US textile tech developer comes up with sleep-promoting ingredients for fabrics

Devan Chemicals NV, US based developer of finishing technologies for textiles, plans to show some of its latest health and wellness solutions at the upcoming Heimtextil show that is to be held in Frankurt, Germany.

Many people suffer from insomnia, insufficient sleep or other sleeping disorders. Reviving the body through sleep is vital for all. To help such people, Devan has now added cannabidiol or CBD to its R-vital, sleeping promoting range of micro-encapsulated active ingredients that enhances textiles with anti-oxidative effects. The rich CBD extract has a balancing effect that helps facilitate a good night’s sleep.

Furthermore, the finishing technology supplier has also added argan oil, knowing the benefits of it, in its health and wellness range. Sleeping on a pillow that contains argan oil capsules can help to hydrate and nourish the hair and scalp. Devan has used these elements in its R-vital range in order to create its own blend for specific and unique solutions including for pillow cover, bed sheets, cover sheets and sleepwear.

The solution provider was also applauded for its Q10 blend at the recently held Performance Days fabric trade fair in Munich. Moreover, the Q10 blend offers sports recovery through textiles. Devan collaborated with Japanese pharmaceutical company Kaneka Corp on the development of this product. The Q10 blends reinforces the body’s antioxidants, thereby disarming damaging free-radicals and having an overall anti-aging effect.
