India-based apparel and footwear brand, Woodland is set to launch 60 brick-and-mortar stores across the country this financial year, as it looks to enhance its India franchise model and online presence. The company already operates more than 600 company-owned stores in the country.
Reportedly, the retailer is targeting Tier II and III locations for its expansion plans. The brand is expecting that strengthening its franchise model will help to tap customers in small towns where demands are constantly increasing.
Furthermore, in a bid to boost its omni channel plans, it is investing in its online platform, as the online sales for the company are expected to account for around 40 per cent of the total sales in the nation in the coming three to four years.
Apart from expanding in India, Woodland is also looking to enter into more international locations in the coming time. Harkirat Singh, MD, Woodland was quoted as saying that “Woodland as a brand is already present in China, Aokang and Hong Kong. Apart from this, we are working on strengthening our presence in South-East Asia, West Asia, Europe and USA.”
Notably, to boost its current customer base and attract new ones, the brand has recently launched, GPS embedded jackets, BOA shoes, and much more in terms of technology and innovations in products.
